It generated £23 million ($28.5 million) in profits last year and £212 million ($263 million) in the decade to 2022. He is likely to be ahead of David and Victoria Beckham, who were worth £380 million ($472 million) in last year's ranking, and Sir Elton John, who was worth £395 million ($490 million). As King, Charles is now in control of the Crown Estate, worth about £15.6 billion ($19.4 billion).

Revellers take part in the Children's Parade at Notting Hill Carnival in London, Britain, August 28, 2022. But it does appear that there is some gradual shift in public opinion happening with the dolls. IN Netflix's "Harry & Meghan" documentary, Prince Harry recalls being screamed and shouted at by his brother, William, the Prince of Wales, during a family summit. Netflix on Thursday dropped three further episodes in the six-part series it bills as an "unprecedented and in-depth" documentary. The second installment, however, has proved more explosive with seeming revelations about the events leading up to the couple's ultimate decision to step down from the royal family in 2020. "You have to understand that from the family's perspective, and especially from hers, there are ways of doing things," Harry says, referring to the Queen. Netflix's series about Prince Harry and Meghan has become the streaming giant's biggest documentary debut yet.

London CNN —Former finance minister Rishi Sunak will be the United Kingdom’s next prime minister after seeing off his lone remaining rival in the fast-tracked race to become Conservative party leader on Monday. Sunak is set to replace Liz Truss, who will become the shortest-serving prime minister in UK history. Sunak will become prime minister once he is officially appointed by King Charles III and will be the first prime minister appointed by the new King following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September. His campaign got a big boost when his former boss and rival, former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, withdrew from the race on Sunday night. He criticized Truss’ economic plan which ultimately sparked panic in the financial markets and led to her demise.
But many campaigners believe King Charles III presents a unique opportunity: They think most royalism was actually fondness for the widely loved queen, and he — a new, less popular king — won't inherit this support. The English Civil War resulted in the beheading of King Charles I, before the "Glorious Revolution" saw English elites effectively choose a new monarch who gave lawmakers more rights. William, Prince of Wales, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, look at floral tributes to the queen at Sandringham Estate on Thursday. Some observers agree that Charles should be viewed in an entirely new light now that he is king. “The monarchy knows statesmanship is about knowing to give up what you can no longer keep,” she said.
The Crown Estate's income goes to the UK government, which gives the royal family an annual payment. The assets of the Crown Estate are worth about $17 billion. The Crown Estate's portfolio also includes parts of the shoreline and seabed, forests, farms and the Windsor Estate.
The late monarch's horses won more than 1,800 races and her annual presence at Royal Ascot and the Epsom Derby reflected a deep personal interest as much as carrying out royal duty. "I'm sure if the queen had not been bred into being a monarch she would have found a vocation with horses. Nicky Henderson, another royal trainer, also told the Racing Post how the queen had watched one of her horses win a race on television. The queen's horses won all the British classics with the exception of the Derby, the most prestigious of all. Queen Elizabeth attended every edition of the Royal Windsor Horse Show since its inception 79 years ago, including in May.
